There aren’t enough exclamation points in the world for this episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But first, TRIGGER WARNING: We discuss attempted sexual assault and non-consensual situations in this episode.

So, a lot happens!  Debbie has a date with the slightly un-friendly neighborhood detective.  George and Emmett set off on an adventure of a lifetime.  Justin’s job is demanding more of his time and character, causing Brian to straddle the line between parent and partner.   We started a few conversations in this episode that we had to cut short, but we fully intend to revisit them! Stay tuned!

  1. Thank you so much for another great episode! I’ve been waiting for this one, and as always you give really good perspective on the different scenes 😊
It’s pretty clear that Brian hates Justins new job, but I love the fact that he still defends him. I think it’s partly a way to «calm» himself down about it, but mostly I think it has to do with the kind of person Brian is. I think he respects Justin for trying to make it on his own.. all though in the end he just can’t anymore (rightfully so), and says «no, only you» (being for sale..). We will see this in s4 as well when things get a bit out of hand with the Cody-business. Brian tries to find ways to understand (or debate) actions that he doesn’t nescessarily agree with. I think. (Sorry about the s4 «spoiler» 😉 ) Anyway. As to your last question.. I will not give my opinion other than that I absolutely think it had to do with Justin needing to feel in control and Brian understanding that. But also, do you think perhaps that «look» from Brian to Justin also could be an are you sure you are okay-kind of look? And Justins kiss a confirmation of him being ok? Bc Justin hadn’t answered Brians question by telling what had happened.. But I’m happy to go along with your interpretation as well – it was good and made sense to me 😊 Hope this makes sense. It does to me right now, but… 😊 LOVE your podcast and can’t wait for the next episode! 🤍

Thank you for the commnent!!! Brian is NOT A FAN of Justin’s job. We aren’t either!! Can’t wait to get further into this discussion in later seasons. But no spoilers and all that. I think your interpretation of the last scene is valid. Those two are always communicating several tihngs to each other in subtle looks and touches. Let’s say that it’s combination of both of our ideas!!

      • This was just such a great episode. I love the interaction between the caracters, how they reevaluate their behaviour when they are confronted with different things, for instance Michael and Debbie.. or the way Brian «saved Ted years of therapy» ( in Teds own words) just with a few words.. I love it. As to what happened (and could have gotten a lot worse) to Justin, it’s so important to show this, but it breaks my heart and makes me sick knowing this is a real thing.
This show has such an important role to play 🤍

Thank you so much for listening and commenting!!! You are absolutely right! This show is so honest! Sometimes it hurts, but it always entertains!

I’m finally caught up with the current episode 😍 I feel like that was Brian first time bottoming for Justin. I could just feel the vibe from that scene. My mouth dropped when he rolled over.

Thanks for hanging in there and catching up to us! You make a valid point. Either way, yes!!! Jaws were on the floor!! LOVE that last scene.

I think it was Brian’s first time as a bottom with Justin. Contrary to most viewers I am not so “crazy” about it, I don’t have a problem with it but I’m not like “oh that’s so sweet / romantic or they are equal” either.

I don’t know if I’m in the minority but I really like Carl. He said some “stupid” things like the Jane Doe thing but I agree with Ken. He is an oldschool guy probably used to “jokes” like that at the police station and never REALLY thought about it. So I don’t get a real homophobic vibe from him more ignorant like you said.

Carl seems open to learning and that’s what matters!!!

To me I do believe it was Brian’s first time as a bottom with Justin. Brian knew something bad happened even if Justin didn’t say it in so many words. They communicate more through body language then with words.

Thanks for ‘casting your vote’. No matter what, I loved that moment of connection with them. It’s always nice to see them be what the other needs.
